JAY KENNEDY was born in Columbus, Georgia where he grew up and spent his entire childhood. It was there that he learned the wonderful art of theatre, amongst other things. He began working at the Springer Opera House, the State Theatre of Georgia, at age 14, and still occasionally returns to work there today. He held every position imaginable from 4th chorus boy from the left to a rough and tough stage manager — which is how he makes his modest living in Chicago now. He spent two years studying theatre at the University of Evansville until he decided that, perhaps the college scene wasn’t were he needed to be. After a brief stint back home in Georgia, Jay moved to Chicago to pursue theatre. He had a small bout with almost making it into an improv troupe, but eventually decided Stage Managing was the way to go. In Chicago, Jay has worked on several productions, many of which were at Bailiwick Repertory. Selected shows as stage manager include: A Man of Importance, Dennis DeYoung’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Cousins Grimm, Bombs Away, and Two Spoons (Baiiwick Repertory); The Birds and Haywire (Hell in a Handbag); and Twelfth Night (City Lit). Currently, he is attending the International Academy of Design and Technology, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design

His primary objective in life is to reveal the value of fashion photography in theatrical marketing campaigns.
As an actor, Eric enjoys the process of creating and fostering original works and smaller, lesser known roles more than anything else. From a murderous bisexual teenager in Bailiwick Repertory’s Jeff Award winning Thrill Me: The Story of Leopold and Loeb to a wandering lonely merchant marine in Theo Ubique’s Jeff Award winning Jacques Brel’s Lonesome Losers of the Night, Eric has found his passion in bringing new life to unexplored text. He doesn’t believe he has found his favorite role yet because when he does, what will there be left to discover?
