Information for Playwrights

During this period of reorganization, Bailiwick Chicago simply does not have the resources to read unsolicited plays and musicals. However, beginning in January 2010, we hope to have a Literary Manager / Committee in place so that we can review original works for development and possible production.

If you are interested in submitting a play or musical, please DO NOT send via regular mail. We prefer that all submissions be sent via email to the following email address: newworks@bailiwickchicago.com. When submitting your work, please include the following:

For non-musicals:

• Cover letter with contact information and a brief synopsis
• PDF version of the script

For musicals:

• Cover letter with contact information and brief synopsis
• PDF version of the script
• 2-3 mp3's of what you consider to be the best songs from the score

And please understand that we are all volunteers, and as such, it may take us a few months to get back to you. Thank you for considering us!
