Information for Playwrights

At this time, Bailiwick Chicago simply does not have the resources to read unsolicited plays and musicals. However, we hope to soon have a Literary Manager / Committee in place so that we can review original works for development and possible production.

If you are interested in submitting a play or musical, please DO NOT send via regular mail. We prefer that all submissions be sent via email to the following email address: newworks@bailiwickchicago.com. When submitting your work, please include the following:

For non-musicals:

• Cover letter with contact information and a brief synopsis
• PDF version of the script

For musicals:

• Cover letter with contact information and brief synopsis
• PDF version of the script
• 2-3 mp3's of what you consider to be the best songs from the score

And please understand that we are all volunteers, and as such, it may take us a few months to get back to you. Thank you for considering us!
